About me
I am a third grade teacher at Henry's Fork Elementary, and I also help maintain google accounts at the elementary level. Before teaching 3rd grade I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Science in Ririe. It was at my time in Ririe I was introduced to the IETA conference and instantly knew technology needed to be a vital tool in my classroom. When I made the move to Fremont county and third grade I asked if I could attend the conference. I was the first teacher to ask to attend the conference and the only teacher to do so that year. Since then our district has been able to send a group of teachers and administrators over every year. I was able to pilot a chromebook cart in our school and now we have several carts throughout our school.
I love finding ways to engage the students using technology. I also like using technology to help me differentiate more effectively in the classroom. I also love finding tools that help me be more efficient in my non teaching responsibilities, records, lesson plans, meeting agendas, ect,. I love sharing new things I have discovered or learned, and I also enjoy learning from colleagues that discovered new tools.
I hope by sharing things that I like and use in my classroom it may inspire others to share the amazing things they are doing in their classroom. I believe that educators must work together to become better.
