Middleton High School Tech Ninjas run a student-led IT help desk at Middleton High School. Ninjas assist fellow students with IT issues and assist in training students and staff in technology needs. They troubleshoot various computer issues, as well as assist with maintenance and repairs of all Chromebooks in our school district. In this session we will share how our Help Desk works and how you can implement a Help Desk at your school.

Sarah Thompson is an Instructional Specialist. Her career in education began in 1993 teaching English in Middleton, Idaho. She works with technology integration and supports instructional practices throughout the district.

A discussion of the mission and capabilities of the National Guard as a community partner to exchange knowledge, collaborate on cyber security best practices, and provide community outreach opportunities for future and present IT professionals. The Idaho National Guard utilizes the Department of Defense Innovated Readiness Training (IRT) program for cyber defense training. The Idaho Army National Guard’s Defensive Cyber Operations Element (DCOE) specializes in vulnerability assessment, cyber reconnaissance, and limited demonstration of exploit for state, local, tribal, and territorial partners throughout the state of Idaho. The IDARNG has created a training model for soldiers, students, and employees to gain experience on live networks. Helping those who are in current IT roles, or interested in improving their cybersecurity skills.
