A discussion of the mission and capabilities of the National Guard as a community partner to exchange knowledge, collaborate on cyber security best practices, and provide community outreach opportunities for future and present IT professionals. The Idaho National Guard utilizes the Department of Defense Innovated Readiness Training (IRT) program for cyber defense training. The Idaho Army National Guard’s Defensive Cyber Operations Element (DCOE) specializes in vulnerability assessment, cyber reconnaissance, and limited demonstration of exploit for state, local, tribal, and territorial partners throughout the state of Idaho.
